Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve™ Flight Stick FAQ Support

Important Information Regarding Firmware

We have released a firmware update to resolve an issue affecting the “ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE™ Flight Stick for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Windows PC”, where yaw input (controlled by twisting the stick) would remain continuously directed to the left when the controller was used in FLIGHT Mode on a Windows PC.

Update Details
This firmware update addresses the following issue:
• Fixed an issue where yaw input (controlled by twisting the stick) remains directed to the left when the product is used in FLIGHT Mode (DirectInput) on a PC.

How to Update the Firmware
Please update the firmware using the HORI Control Center app.
1. Download and install HORI Control Center
The HORI Control Center app is required to update the firmware.
Please download and install HORI Control Center from the following page:

2. Launch HORI Control Center
After installing HORI Control Center, launch the app.

3. Connect the Flight Stick
Set the mode selector on the back of the product to PS5 Mode, then connect the Flight Stick to your PC.

4. Open Settings
In HORI Control Center, select Settings.

5. Update the firmware
Select Update Version and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.



6. Confirm the firmware version
Once the update is complete, check that the Firmware Version is displayed as V1.60.
After updating, please make sure that the product is running the latest firmware version.

If the firmware is not up to date, the Version Update button will be displayed in blue.

If the firmware update does not complete successfully
If the update does not complete successfully, disconnect the Flight Stick from your PC and reconnect it. Then try the firmware update again.
